The Royal Livingstone Hotel is, without question, my dream hotel. Nestled along the Zambezi River, just a short walk from Victoria Falls, this five-star retreat offers more than just luxury—it’s an extraordinary blend of elegance and nature. Giraffes, impalas, zebras, and even hippos from the river roam the hotel’s grounds (not the hippos), creating an immersive experience unlike any other. Whether you’re a couple seeking romance or an adventurer eager to explore, this hotel caters to every whim with impeccable service and an unbeatable location.

Location
I can’t imagine a better location than this. Situated right on the banks of the Zambezi River, with Victoria Falls within a 15-minute stroll, the Royal Livingstone’s setting is simply magical. Not only do you get front-row access to one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders, but you’re also constantly surrounded by wildlife. During my stay, I found myself sharing the grounds with grazing zebras, elegant giraffes, and impalas wandering freely. The hippos in the river provided their own soundtrack as the sun set over the water. The harmony of wildlife and luxury here makes it feel like a dream come true.

Syle and Character
The style of the Royal Livingstone Hotel evokes a colonial-era charm, with a modern twist of luxury. The hotel’s graceful architecture, dark wood furnishings, and high ceilings give it a sense of timeless sophistication. However, the true magic lies in how it integrates with the surrounding nature. You’re never far from a glimpse of wildlife grazing nearby, which blends seamlessly with the hotel’s tranquil and elegant atmosphere. The hotel captures the romance of old Africa while offering every modern comfort, making it a destination in itself.
